SoBellas Home Services is holding its second annual food drive through the month of October 2012.
We would like to invite our customers to join with us during this month long event to help us beat our 2011 top donation year of 700 lbs. of food donated to the West Texas Food Bank in El Paso and the Roadrunner Food Bank in Las Cruces.
Any appliance repair, air conditioning repair or dryer vent cleaning during the month of October will receive $5.00 off the bill with a minimum of just 2 cans of food. If your appliance repair or air conditioning repair happens to be under warranty and no money is due. We can apply the $5.00 to a future repair.
If you don’t need service but are interested in helping, stop by our office if you are close enough to SoBellas Home Services headquarters, we invite you to drop off your food donations at our office located at 125 Graphite Dr Ste D, El Paso, TX 79932. Donations can be received between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Mondays - Fridays the month of October.
Across our nation and the world, there are record numbers of families who need that little extra help. This is a great opportunity to give back to your community, especially when unemployment is high.
Food donation guidelines from the local Food Bank are listed below:
- Canned meats (i.e., tuna, chicken, salmon)
- Canned and boxed meals (i.e., soup, chili, stew, macaroni and cheese)
- Canned or dried beans and peas (i.e., black, pinto, lentils)
- Pasta, rice, cereal
- Canned fruits
Foods that cannot be accepted:
- Homemade items
- Noncommercial canned or packaged items
- Alcoholic beverages or drink mixes
- Open or used items
- Rusty or unlabeled cans
